TRACES OF FREEDOM
— Interactive Media and Spatial Design
Outdoor public art | Interactive Media design
Through preliminary field research and archival study of Beijing’s Bell and Drum Towers, I developed the concept “Traces of Freedom.” By integrating an interactive public art installation, the project aims to shape a more joyful and liberating atmosphere within the site, allowing visitors to emotionally connect with the space.
As an outdoor public artwork, it engages both environment and audience, featuring distinct interactive experiences in different time settings — natural physical interaction by day and digital interaction by night.

2.HANDMADE MODEL
Starting from the theme, I created physical models by hand, experimenting with different forms to explore how each shape influences the spatial atmosphere.
3.STRUCTURE
Design a 1 cm internal support frame, dividing the curved form into 15 segments to construct the overall structure.
